History of FTSJS

Initially on the same Bon Repos campus as the now-closed Enstiti Travay Sosyal ak Syans Sosyal (ETS), The Faculté de Travail Social et de Justice Sociale (FTSJS) was started as an external campus of the Episcopal University (UNEPH) in September of 2018.  The curriculum was developed by studying the best U.S. colleges of social work and incorporating a deep respect for and understanding of Haitian culture.  Being part of UNEPH offers the accreditation and credibility of a long-established and renowned Haitian University.  Founded in 1920, the main branch of the Episcopal University is located in downtown Port-au-Prince.

Due to the general unrest in the country, our program is currently online. We hope in the future to establish a campus in a safe location in Cap-Haïtien.   While maintaining our academic connection with UNEPH, we are currently making a significant administrative change to become a program of the well-respected, Gressier-based educational/medical/community organization, Respiré Haiti.
